A consortium that performs administrative and technical tasks in the field of vehicle certification
Centar za automobilsko inženjerstvo d.o.o. is the lead member of the consortium that performs administrative and technical tasks in the field of vehicle certification. We have qualified staff and appropriate equipment for carrying out the administrative and technical tasks of vehicle certification.
Within the consortium, we perform the following tasks:
- Defining and proposing procedures for vehicle testing and certification;
- Preparing and proposing regulations in the field of certification of road vehicles for the transport of dangerous goods, perishable goods, vehicles for the transport of live animals, and vehicles for the transport of special cargo (transport of valuables, money, jewelry, etc.);
- Preparing and proposing regulations in the field of certification of road vehicles running on alternative fuels (LPG, CNG, etc.);
- Preparing and proposing regulations, as well as coordinating the harmonization of regulations and the implementation process of certification of road vehicles, their assemblies, and parts;
- Preparing and proposing the conditions that testing bodies must meet for the purpose of their authorization to operate, which are submitted to the Ministry;
- Providing opinions to the Ministry on the competence of organizations applying to become testing bodies;
- Organizing and conducting the training of personnel to perform vehicle testing and inspection for certification purposes;
- Organizing and maintaining the database and information network of testing bodies;
- Establishing a central database of vehicles that have undergone testing and certification;
- Carrying out administrative, technical, and expert oversight of the work of testing bodies;
- Submitting reports to the Ministry on the work of testing bodies.

Types of testing:
- IPV - testing of vehicles for certification according to categories of modifications by individual types of vehicle testing (determining technical characteristics, reconstruction or modification of vehicles, installation of dual or auxiliary control systems, replacement of the power unit, stamping of a number onto the power unit or vehicle chassis, manufacture of new vehicles, etc.);
- ALT - testing of vehicles with alternative propulsion systems (installation/construction of an alternative propulsion system using liquefied petroleum gas, installation/construction of an alternative propulsion system using compressed natural gas, factory installation of an alternative propulsion system using liquefied petroleum gas, factory installation of an alternative propulsion system using compressed natural gas, etc.);
- ADR - testing of vehicles intended for the transport of dangerous goods
- SCP - testing of vehicles intended for the transport of valuables
- PZS - testing of vehicles intended for the transport of animals;
- ATP - testing of vehicles intended for the transport of perishable goods;
- CEMT - certificate of road worthiness inspection of motor and trailer vehicles.
